Giants over Phillies- After a great run that break them back into contention the Giants have hit a swoon and have dropped seven of nine and need a win here to even the home and away 3-games series started last week. San Francisco will start Jeff Samardzija (8-9, 3.70 ERA) who despite his mediocre numbers is having his best season and he is opposed by Vince Velasquez (4-6, 4.23) who's latest claim to fame is that he threw a running out at the plate from left field last week. (It really was a great throw...but this time the Giants return it. Take SAN FRANCISCO!
