Chicago Cubs at San Diego 10:10 ET
Padres over Cubs- Chicago is doing their best to make the NL Wild Card chase more exciting my losing four of their last five including last night's four-pitch walk-off walk in the bottom of the 10th as their lead for the playoff spot dropped to 2 ½ games. Tonight, the Cubs start 'home-town' (San Diego) boy Cole Hamels (7-6,3.95 ERA) who has owned the Padres in Petco Park going 5-1 with a 2.01 ERA in nine starts although he has lost four of his last five decisions and since the All-Star break he is 1-3 with a 7.12 ERA. San Diego will start Chris Paddack (8-7, 3.54) who is 5-3 with a 3.40 ERA at home and the Padres are 6-2 in his last eight home starts. Take SAN DIEGO!
