Chris Archer will be making his Pirates debut. He made 17 starts for the Rays this season, and he's faced the Cardinals only once in his career, striking out eight while allowing one run over 7 IP on Aug. 27, 2017. He has very good numbers versus NL teams while the Cardinals John Gant has struggled with control and velocity in his last 2 outings.
