10* Bowl Game of the Week
(NCAAF) Houston vs. Army,
Point Spread: -6.50 | -106.00 Army (Home)
Result: Win
Houston is sitting on an 8-4 record, but the Knights shocked a lot of people with the fact they only lost 2 games on the season. However, what else is a shocker is the fact the Cougars were able to play their way into a bowl game, compared to what was expected to be a bowl berth for Army in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.

The Cougars are coming into the game with some issues that could be a focal point for Army and one of those is the defense that has been horrible. The last game saw the Cougars defense give up 52 points in a loss to Memphis and the offense only replied with 31. The Cougars are missing several players on both sides of the ball.

Defensively the Cougars have struggled giving up a ton of yards in the air at 291.4 yards allowed. What will really spell disaster is the Cougars rushing defense is giving up 197.5 yards a game. The Cougars also give up 34.4 points a game.

Army is coming into the game after doing what they love best and that is beating Navy. However, the Black Knights did this with a very strong rushing offense that has managed to get 296.2 yards a game, which is good since the passing attack should be left to the Air Force as Army only managed 79.7 yards a game. The Knights have scored 29.7 points a game.

Defensively the Knights are strong as well giving up only 185.3 yards per game in the air and their secondary is solid as this is one of the best Army teams in quite some time.

Army has a very strong rushing attack and it is facing a horrible Cougars rushing defense. That is going to allow the Knights to have a great game on the ground in this game. Army leads the nation in time of possession; the Cougars are ranked at the bottom.
