QB Sam Ehlinger had four touchdowns but coach Tom Herman was still not pleased. "We were rusty," Herman told reporters. "Sam missing throws; dropped the ball; we had six penalties. You know, that happens in first games. But I thought we started really, really fast, and that's what helped us overcome some of those miscues." Tom Herman has only been a head coach since 2015, but there's been an inescapable trend in that short time. His teams have been underdogs 16 times, and they've gone 13-2-1 ATS in those games.
