USC won five of their last six to finish 8-4, saving Clay Helton's job (again). The offense features three talented WR's and run-pass balance. The defense runs hot and cold. Iowa lost three close, low scoring games to Michigan (10-3), Penn St (17-12) and to Wisconsin (24-22).

Iowa has two very likely first round choices, Epensesa and Wirfs. They are both playing, and that tells me this game really matters to the Hawkeyes. Add in the motivation following the passing of the teams legendary Hayden Fry, plus a very quickly sold out ticket allotment. I have very little doubt Iowa is very focused for this game and will have the majority of the fan base here. The Trojans haven't played in more than a month as their season ended early, and the fan base isn't happy about the decision to retain Helton. I will play Iowa in this game as I look for QB Nate Stanley to come up big for IOWA.
