The Boilermakers went 9-4 last season and beat Tennessee 48-45 in the Music City Bowl. The Boilermakers were selected fourth in the Big Ten West according to the preseason polls and bring back seven starters on both sides of the ball. They should put up some points as they scored 29 ppg last season and Penn St only has 4 starters back on defense and young.


I think Purdue has the major edge at quarterback here in this game plus Penn St HC James Franklin is terrible.
Home field and a Nationally televised night game is huge for this Purdue team.

Size matters, and the Boilermakers have too much at CB - Penn State will not be able to overcome that and beat them outside in the secondary.
