I'll take my chances with the Yankees on the road against the Red Sox in Tuesday's series opener. New York has righted the ship after that dreadful stretch of baseball in August. Yankees have won 6 of their last 8. The offense comes in red-hot scoring 10 runs in each of their last 2 games.

New York will have ace Gerrit Cole on the mound and he has been lights out lately. He's pitched more like a Cy Young posting a 1.71 ERA and 0.905 WHIP in his last 3 starts.


Boston will counter with Nick Pivetta who in 5 career starts against NY, Pivetta has a 9.74 ERA and 1.820 WHIP. In 3 starts against the Yankees this season, he's given up a whooping 17 runs in just 13 innings of work.

I just can't trust the Red Sox bullpen in this one either. I like Gerrit Cole and the Yankees to get it done here. Take the Yankees here on Tuesday night.
