The set-up: This is the first time these teams have played this year, but in 2019 the A's went 5-1 in the season series. Chicago backed its way into the playoffs and even had a chance to secure home field advantage on the final day of the regular season, but it fell 10-8 to the Cubs. Lucas Giolito (4-3, 3.48 ERA) is 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA in two starts vs. the A's.

The pick: Oakland has a great pitching staff and bullpen. The White Sox have a terrible bullpen. Luzardo (3-2, 4.12) gets the call for the A's and in his last start vs. the Giants he went six shutout innings, allowing just five hits. Note that the A's are 6-2 in their last eight at home as well, while the White Sox are a poor 0-5 in their last five on the road. I'm grabbing the "plus-money" and expecting a big blowout!
